‘Desireless’ featured two top 10 UK singles ‘Falling In Love Again’ and the aforementioned ‘Save Tonight’ that for a while dominated worldwide airwaves on their release. What emerged was a phenomenally successful album that peaked at number three in the UK charts, and has sold 4 million copies worldwide. It was in 1997 that Eagle-Eye first began writing his debut album ‘Desireless’ in his bedroom in Stockholm with just an acoustic guitar and a handful of ideas. Cherry returned to Stockholm to focus on his music rather than the acting career that had taken precedence in his professional life. In 1993 he starred on the short-lived NBC action/adventure television show South Beach. In 1988, he was credited as "Teenager" in the film Arthur 2: On the Rocks. He remained there to work as an actor and a drummer in various bands.
At the age of 12, Cherry was sent to school in New York City. Other half-brothers are violinist Jan Cherry, Christian Cherry, and jazz musician David Ornette Cherry. He is the half-brother of singer Neneh Cherry (his mother's daughter) and stepbrother to singer Titiyo. Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry is a Swedish musician best known for his hit single "Save Tonight".Ĭherry was born in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of jazz artist Don Cherry and Swedish painter/textile artist Monika Cherry (née Karlsson).
